The ICC’s Putin arrest warrant is peak hypocrisy — and also incredibly stupid

George W. Bush, Tony Blair, David Cameron, Barack Obama, Nicolas Sarkozy, the head of NATO who oversaw the bombing of Serbia in 1999, the head of NATO who oversaw in conjunction with Obama, Cameron and Sarkozy the destruction of Libya in 2011, Benjamin Netanyahu and every Israeli prime minister there has been since the ICC was established on the back of the Rome Statute in 1998 over their barbaric and murderous treatment of the long-suffering Palestinian people — all of the above and more have yet to face so much as one second of justice for the monstrous crimes carried out in the name of Western ‘civilization’.

Putin’s real crime, if it can be so-called, is that he decided that Russia would no longer accept that decisions where it’s own security and national interests were concerned would be taken in Washington, Brussels or London, but in Moscow.

Putin apologist, I hear you say?

No, I am not pro-Putin, I’m anti-hypocrisy — and the hypocrisy involved in this entirely not only wrong but wrongheaded ICC warrant for the arrest of the Russian president is off the charts.

That Russia, as with the United States, does not recognize the legitimacy and authority of the International Criminal Court, based in The Hague, is rather a moot point. What…
