Ukrainian rocket strike on Russsian army barracks confirms that the most deadly enemy of the Russian army is its own leadership

Despite the frankly Comical Aliesque claims by the likes of retired US Colonel Douglas Macgregor, predicting the imminent collapse of Ukrainian armed forces in the face of Russian military prowess on the battlefield — the very same prediction he’s been making since the conflict began with the invasion of Ukrainian territory by Russian forces on 24 February 2022 — the Ukrainians are not only still very much a viable fighting force in theatre, they continue to inconveniently remind the Kremlin that many more Russian mothers will be burying their sons before this thing is through.

The most recent devastating rocket strike by the Ukrainians against an improvised Russian army barracks in the city of Makeevka, close to Donetsk in the Donbass, once again refutes the idea that 2023 will see some kind of miraculous breakthrough by a Russian military that Ukraine’s military leadership, and by extenstion US and Western intelligence, believes is currently operating at the capacity of its conventional capabilities.
